Neighborhood Holiday Fun in Arlington Heights

I love being the musical “Elf.” Being the “Elf” for Santa’s arrival, setting the season’s mood by spinning holiday tunes and providing party fun songs for the neighborhood kids was a great thrill for this DJ. Families in Arlington Heights decided to put on the ultimate holiday block party at the Arlington Heights American Legion Hall on December 6. I coordinated Santa’s big scene by giving an introductory welcome from the North pole, Santa then rang his bells using my wireless mic outside the hall for all the kids to hear, in full anticipation Santa appeared all decked out, I put on “Santa Claus is Coming to Town,” gifts began to flow from Santa’s bag and the festivities were underway. The room was filled with utter excitement, the children’s eyes were full of wonder. I played Christmas favorites in the background during the gift giving, buffet meal and prize time. After that is was fun time with the kids. I played all the fun party participation songs like; “The Twist,” “YMCA,” “Twist and Shout,” “Chicken Dance,” “Hokey Pokey” and many of the line dances. The kids especially loved using the Hula Hoops, doing the Limbo and forming a party train. Total holiday fun for the entire family.
