Packed Dance Floor = Fun

We had an amazing time at Derec & Ashley (Alden) Schmidgall’s reception at the Hotel Palomar (www.hotelpalomar-chicago.com/index.html?WT.srch=1&WT.mc_id=iq_id-47155168-VQ6-12755632015-VQ15-1t1&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Brand-Hotel%20Name_EXT&utm_term=hotel%20palomar%20chicago_47155168-VQ6-12755632015-VQ15-1t1on) on September the 15th. The dance floor was totally packed all night long, yes all night long. We’ll take only 1/2 the credit because the newly weds picked out all the music knowing what they liked & what their guests would dance to. Sets of current top 40, classics from the 60’s thru the 80’s, country, and romantic songs all were big hits.No guest requests with us just slipping in a few choice songs that fit in just right with this crowd. Check this out, Derec & Ashley had a surprise 2nd 1st dance during dinner, to the absolute delight of their guests, a tango (see photo). There were many out of town guests from Nebraska & the plain states from the grooms side. Great to work with Video Pro Jim Perez of Shrug House (www.shrughouse.com). It was wonderful to see Nate & Jill Alden again, we had played at their reception on August 1, 2009. Jill gave a great toast (see photo). They even have a new baby. Check out the Alden Piano Company (www.chicagopianorental.com). The night ended appropriately with “The Night Chicago Died” by Paper Lace.
