Wonderful Winter Wedding

We are always grateful to perform at weddings during the winter months. One of the advantages is that many times the bride and groom choose to have both the ceremony and reception at the same location so that they and their guests do not have travel to multiple locations. This was so true on January 10 for Mitchell and Zoe (Moritz) Gold at the Highland Park Community House, www.highlandparkcommunityhouse.org. They heard of our company through Zoe’s grandfather, Warren Hansen, who part of high school reunion in 2013. Mitchell and Zoe did a fine job customizing much of their music including for both cocktail time and dinner with a significant focus on modern county and western music. The dance floor throughout much of the evening was energized and filled with guests enjoying themselves to vast variety of music including country, oldies, disco, classic rock, Motown, romantic love ballads and current top 40. Their first dance was “Cowboy Take Me Away” by the Dixie Chicks, cake cutting to “Point at You” by Justin Moore, father/daughter dance was “I Loved Her First” by Heartland. The key moment in getting the crowd going though might have been the mother/son dance where “Sugaree” by The Grateful Dead was played and about half way through many couples from the crowd began to join in that by the end of the song the dance floor was well filled. We then went right into a nice set of three songs, “Unchained Melody” by the Righteous Brothers, “Sea of Love” by the Honeydrippers and “I Don’t Dance” by Lee Brice which solidified the dancing. It was great to met and have worked with both sets of parents. Best wishes to Mitchell and Zoe. Check out the photos and videos.
